The Adelpha Guest House is located centrally in the university city of Bangor on the North Wales coast. North Wales is a popular holiday destination due to it's natural, unspoilt beauty and incredible scenery. Whether you are visiting for business or pleasure you'll find the Adelpha Guest House, with it's convenient location and off-road parking, provides a perfect base to enjoy this area to its absolute fullest.

The Adelpha Guest House is conveniently located centrally in the city of Bangor and is easy reached...

From the A55 Expressway

1. From the A55 exit junction 11.
2. Take A5 Exit to Bangor / Betws-y-Coed
3. At roundabout, take 3rd exit onto A5 (Bangor).
4. Go through 3 small roundabouts.
5. Turn left onto Garth Rd.
6. The Adelpha Guest House is located on the right hand side opposite Bangor Swimming Pool.

From Bangor Train Station

1. Exit Bangor train station (main exit) and turn right
2. Head down the hill passing the 'Waverley' on the left
3. The hotel is in front of you (from the station, the hotel name is visible on the gable end)

Within a short walk...

The Adelpha's prime location guarantees the entire city of Bangor and its amenities - including the university are simply a short walk away. For those of a sporty persuasion there's bowling, golf, cycling hire and swimming - all within a few minutes of the property. Keen ramblers and walkers can enjoy the numerous attractions on offer too with the Bangor Pier, Welsh Coastal Path and the beautiful grounds of Penrhyn Castle all close by and of course the world renowned Menai Suspension bridge a little further down the Straits. For evening entertainment, Bangor boasts a plethora of public houses, nightclubs and restaurants all of which are easily accessed from the guest house.

Bangor and North Wales

Within a short drive...

Just a short trip by car opens up an enormous variety of North Wales' attractions and sites including the beautiful Isle of Anglesey (which is just 10 minutes away by car). Historians will enjoy exploring the wealth of Beaumaris & Caernarvon, castles, Celtic history and ancient monuments that the area has on offer. A car also gives families access to a multitude of sandy, blue-flag beaches, quiet coves as well as the numerous, award-winning family attractions along the coastline (The Anglesey Sea Zoo, Foel Farm and Pili Palas to name just a few ) there's plenty to keep the whole family occupied within a short distance from the Adelpha Guest House.

Bangor and North Wales

A day out...

Those willing to travel a little further will experience North Wales to its fullest and will be rewarded by some truly memorable days out. Whether exploring the further down the North Wales coast or venturing further afield into the Snowdonia National Park you'll find that North Wales has plenty to offer. And, for the more ambitious day trippers, a ferry ride from the port of Holyhead (just half an hour away) provides the gateway to Ireland.

The Adelpha provides an ideal base to discover the delights of North Wales and beyond.
